Welcome Home Baby card

This is a 5 minute baby card. I used a shadow stamp for the background and a 1 inch circle punch for

the buggy. Cut a little triangle out of the circle. Add two little baby buttons for the wheels and add your verse. I layered this one to bring all the colors together.

A book for your vacation

This book starts with a piece of 6 by 12 inch green cardstock that is folded in half so it ends up 6 x 6. I took a thin piece of cardstock that is a map. I cut it so it was smaller than the green cardstock and layered it on a medium blue cardstock that matched the map. I tore a piece of vellum on the top and bottom and stamped a verse across it and glue it to the front.

I used tan cardstock for the inside pages which were cut into 10 1/2" x 5 1/4" pieces which I also folded in half to make them each 5 1/4 x 5 1/4. I took the first piece and cut a hole in the middle and left a 1 inch border around it so the center is big enough to put a picture of your trip. The rest of the inside pages are glued back to back to make them heavier so you can use it as a scrapbook or a photo album.

I took a 30 inch piece of ribbon that matched the map and laid it across the center of the inside back cardstock and glued it down. I laid the last piece of tan cardstock on top of the ribbon so there was enough ribbon on both sides to make the bow in front.

This was a fun and easy book to make.

Iris Folding Fan

This is an iris folding fan made and placed on top of black cardstock.     There is no cut out but just folded and cut papers.   The fan does not lay flat but is creased and folded at each different colored paper.    I added a silver emblem and yarn to the fan and used a punch on the corners of the cardstock.    The pattern is from Design Originals Iris Folding book called Spiral Folding for Paper Arts by Suzanne McNeill.     The book also includes 16 pages of folding papers of all colors.

Trivet

This is a tile that I picked up at a Home Depot store and then stamped a rose from PSX on the top and colored it with Tom Bows.    I baked it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.    Then made it into a trivet.      I was visiting The Stamp Addict in San Diego CA where I got the directions on how long I should bake it..

Look What I Found, Gramma

How wonderful it is when the grandkids come to visit grandma and grandpa in Florida.    This darling little girl is from Stamps Happen.     See how gently she trying to pick up the tiny shell with her thumb and one finger?    She even has her little pinky up like a lady drinking her afternoon tea.    I love this stamp.

Good Enough to Eat

This wonderful digi was sent to me by one of my sweet friends, Jackie, from CardCamp.    I just love it.    Wouldn't it also make a great birthday card for those who have birthdays in December?     I have a few digi's but I'm still learning how to make them the correct size.     They look good on the computer but when I print them off, they aren't the size I really wanted them to be.

Iris Folding Fish

This iris folded card makes a very nice birthday card for a male who loves to fish or a Fathers Day card.   When I first wanted to learn to do Iris Folding, I could not understand at all how to fold the paper and go in the right direction when someone tried to explain it to me by email.     So, I went to a class at a Craft Depot (which has since closed down) and after she showed us how, I couldn't believe how simple it was to do.    Now you can even buy cards with the hole cut out.     The pattern came out of another book by Maruscha Gaasenbeek and Tine Beauveser called Iris Folding with Greetings.      I have six of their books.     They are only 6 x 6 with a soft cover but have approximately 10 patterns in each book.

A thank you to the Veterans

This card was made for the Veterans this past Thanksgiving.      Another stamping group I belong to (of five people) makes 10 cards each so one of the ladies can pass them out to the Veterans at a nursing home.     I don't have the stamp for the snowman with his red, white and blue vest and hat.     Someone stamped off an image for me since I loved it so much.      The verse on the front is half a stamp from Paper Inspirations.

Serene

I belong to a group called OrientalStampArt and this is one of my cards.     The flower border is UM so I don't know what company makes it.     The serene lady is from Inka Stamps and is called Kei..   Hope you enjoy.

Iris Folding Ornament

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post to my new blog.     I never would have known how to start one without the help of Rita.    She made everything for me on the front page.    Isn't it beautiful?    Thank you so much, Rita.     I just love it!

My first card will be an Iris Folded card.    I love to do Iris Folding but it is time consuming.    The pattern for this Christmas card is in the book Iris Folding For The Winter by Maruscha Gaasenbeek and Tine Beauveser.    Hope you enjoy it.
